Arike Ogunbowale
Arike She is an American professional athlete who plays for the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to being selected by the Wings with the fifth overall pick of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale is a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her brothers. She was the youngest child in her family and her parents spoilt her to the max. Gregory, her father, was serving in her father's army, the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale is a highly active family. The brother Dare is a football player and her mom Yolanda was a softball player at DePaul. Her aunt used to play volleyball at UAPB. Her cousin Endia is also a volleyball player in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was on the honor roll at her school three years in a row. Apart from her fame, she's won numerous honors from her studies. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School located in her hometown. While studying at the school, she played three years of varsity football. Ogunbowale's extraordinary talents and capabilities, led her team to incredible victories numerous times. Her high school career was compiled with 73 starts, 1,477 career points, and 739 career rebound. Ogunbowale took gold during the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship as well as the 2014. FIBA U17 World Championship, and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. On July 7, 2014, Ogunbowale made the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her debut collegiate season. The coach even thanked the Kobe Bryant after she hit various big shots in the NCCA Tournament.
